Zyban is a name brand for the drug bupropion. It is prescribed as a stop
smoking solution but also can be used as an anti depressant. Zyban helps you quit smoking by reducing the effects of nicotine
withdrawal.
Zyban is taken for 7 - 12 weeks and should be started a week before your predetermined
"quit date". After the first week of taking the drug you should stop smoking. To keep the withdrawal effects to a minimum it is
recommended that you continue to take zyban for several weeks after you actually quit.
Recently zyban has lost favor for helping people quit smoking with the introduction of chantix into the market.
Other Zyban Information:
Zyban should not be taken if you suffer from siezures.
Zyban should not be taken if you have an eating disorder.
